Patent Search: (USPTO Patent Database, typically 1-4 weeks turnaround) Includes patent search of USPTO and WIPO databases, copies of prior art patents, prior art analysis, and written opinion on patentability. Our searches are objective and careful.

Mechanical & other simple technologies, Software, Chemical, or Business method: $1000

Patent Search (USPTO Patent Database, Internet, typically 4-5 weeks turnaround) Includes patent search of USPTO and WIPO databases, Google search of Internet for English language art, copies of prior art patents and web sites, prior art analysis, and written opinion on patentability. Our searches are objective and careful.

Mechanical & other simple technologies, Software, Chemical, or Business method: $1500

Quality Patent Application (either Utility or Utility Quality Provisional — necessary to ensure saving your filing date) — typically 6 to 12 week turnaround. Includes in-depth patentability analysis, specification and drawings, complete claim set, all client consultations, filing the case with the USPTO, and all USPTO and client correspondence needed to prepare and file the application. Expert work designed to discourage competitors, promote licenseing, and protect your invention in court.

Simple Inventions/Provisional: $6,000 plus USPTO filing fees

Complex Inventions: $6,500 — $10,000 plus USPTO filing fees

Electromechanical/Electronic: $7,000 — $10,000 plus USPTO filing fees

Software and Chemical: $7,000 — $25,000 plus USPTO filing fees

Business Method(s) added to other inventions: $2,000 — $15,000 plus USPTO filing fees

Emergency patent filings with less than four weeks deadline: Add up to 25% to above costs

Emergency patent filings with less than two weeks deadline: Add up to 50% to above costs

Emergency patent filings with deadlines yesterday: Call for free consultation and fee estimate

Add new matter to a previously filed application written by us: about $1000/day plus USPTO filing fees

Convert Provisional Patent Application to Utility Patent Application at One Year Deadline: $1500 Plus - USPTO filing fees, search fee and and examination fees (based on application fee transmittal filing rates)

New Utility Patent Application: Same as a new Provisional, because our provisional cases are utility quality

Office Actions — The USPTO typically sends the first Office Action one to five years after the utility patent application is filed. Includes: office action analysis, client consultation, office action response to USPTO, USPTO examiner interviews, and all USPTO and client correspondence. We are very successful at getting our clients' patent claims issued.

Election Restriction: $250

First/Second Office Action: $1000 — $2000 and up for high complexity

Patent Appeal: $1500 — $2500 and up for high complexity

Patent Issue with publication: $750 plus USPTO fees

International Patents — Includes client consultation, paperwork preparation, filing, and all client and patent office correspondence. Used to file a previously written U.S. patent application with the World Intellectual Property Organization.

PCT Filing: $5000 plus any PCT filing fees over $2000

Response to International Search Report: $1000 — $2000

Foreign National Stage Patents — Includes client consultation, paperwork preparation, translation, filing, and all correspondence. Used to file a PCT application in designated foreign countries before the PCT application expires.

In PCT Countries / In non-PCT countries: Call for Quote

US National Stage Filings (English Language Applications) — Includes client consultation, paperwork preparation, filing, and all client and USPTO correspondence. Used to file foreign patent applications in the U.S. Translation for non-English applications quoted separately.

From PCT: $2000 plus USPTO filing fees

Non - PCT: $3000, plus $100/page of drawings, plus USPTO filing fees. Must provide electronic copy of application and drawings.

Other Patent Costs-- Includes everything that wasn't covered

Assignment: $75 per signor, $40 per document recorded, $75 for recordation service

Preliminary Amendments: $200 — $3000 plus USPTO fees

Patent Maintenance fees: $200 plus USPTO fees

US Search: $400

International Search: $1000

US Registration: $650 to file plus $325 USPTO fees per class

Non - argumentative office action response: $250

Statement of Use: $300 plus $100 USPTO fees per class

Affidavit: $200

Trademark Appeal: $1000 — $2000

Petitions: $500 plus USPTO fees

Madrid Protocol international trademark application: $800 plus $200 per country plus USPTO fees

Joint Venture Agreement, simple, co-inventors: $250 — $350

Review disclosure/non-compete agreement re licensing negotiations: $500

Patent File Wrappers review: $500 and up plus USPTO fees

Defensive Patent Infringement Investigation for Clients Includes: review the infringement letter the client has received, order & review file wrapper/prosecution history of allegedly infringed patent, review & analysis of client's patent, review & analysis of client's allegedly infringing technology, informal opinion on patent infringement, meetings, correspondence, and typical costs: $2000 and up plus unusual costs

Offensive Patent Infringement Investigation for Clients Includes: review & analysis of client's patent, review & analysis of allegedly infringing technology, informal opinion on patent infringement, meetings, correspondence, and typical costs: $400 and up plus unusual costs
